  • A Form of Fresh-water Algae Cultivated in the Peninsula of the South China Sea
  • Gluten, Dairy Free, Soy Free and Vegan
  • A Good Source of Protein, Iron, B Vitamins and All 9 Essential Amino Acids
  • Various Claimed Health Benefits including Reducing Tiredness and Improving Cognitive Function

Our highest quality Organic Spirulina powder is a blue-green algae grown on a peninsula in the South China Sea. The consistent warm temperatures and long hours of sunshine make this the ideal location.
Wet spirulina is placed in a drying chamber which removes all moisture while preserving the nutrient content leaving a fine powder that conserves all its nutrient content. Since spirulina has no hard cell wall all of the nutrients can be easily absorbed. It is an excellent source of protein and as it contains all 9 essential amino acids it can be considered a complete source of protein. It also contains high amounts of iron, B vitamins, calcium and magnesium. Claimed benefits of spirulina include supporting cognitive function, reducing tiredness and contributing to normal muscle function. However, as always, here at RealFoodSource we encourage you to do your own research into spirulina powder and the benefits it can have for you.
